Ask any taxpayer if they think the tax system is too complex, and you’ll get a resounding…”YES!” You’ll get the same resounding YES if you ask any parents if they think college is TOO EXPENSIVE.
We agree and we have developed programs that improve the odds of successful college planning and successful college experiences. To be successful the college MUST match these 3 criteria: 1) the student must fit in academically, 2) the student must fit in socially and 3) the school must be affordable to the family!
When you go to a casino the odds are stacked in the casino’s favor. Outside of being a “card counter” if you win at the casino it comes down to sheer luck! Likewise, in college planning too many families are “hoping to get lucky” in their planning. 
PARENTS DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY DON’T KNOW!
Our first goal therefore, is to EDUCATE the parents (and the student) on the rules of the game. Being ignorant of the rules at the casino can cost you your money, you can lose the game and get tossed out of the casino. Not knowing the rules of the “college game” can cost you dearly. WE LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD!
An educated consumer is a WISE consumer. It only takes one time to play the college game wrong and you’re in the POOR HOUSE!

We always say the parents get an education even before the kids attend college. “The first lesson of a college education…is HOW to PAY for IT!”
We take a TOP DOWN approach to our college planning on the educational side.
First, we recommend taking PERSONALITY assessments for the student.
The better you know the student the more likely of finding a better fit for them.
Second, we use the personality assessments to help the student investigate careers. Having students investigate careers in high school eliminates parents paying for the first year of college while the student “finds themselves!” When students don’t do this their parents end up paying for 5 years of college to get a 4 year degree!
Third, we use the student’s career search and investigation to help select the appropriate major for the student to pursue in college.
Fourth, we use the selected major to find colleges that offer that major. We also use other criteria important to the parents and the student to modify the search to customize it for that particular student.
Fifth, we use the list of colleges to select those colleges where the student would be placed in the top 25%-33% of the incoming class. This allows us to POSITION the student for TUITION DISCOUNTS and other MERIT FINANCIAL AID. These strategies are useful even for affluent families who will NOT be receiving any NEED BASED FINANCIAL AID.
This is where we fine tune the college selection so that the student matches up both academically and socially. And it matches up financially with the parents situation.
(Ask yourself this question: “Would you want to drive 5 hours to visit a school that WON’T GIVE YOU ANY MONEY?”) Wouldn’t you like someone to tell you this before you plan your visit?
